14-Year-Old Motocross Rider Camden Trail Tragically Killed in Practice Accident
What was supposed to be a regular motocross practice turned heartbreaking when 14-year-old Camden Trail of Bassett, Virginia, died following a midair crash at East Bend Motorsports Park in North Carolina on June 7, 2025.
Officials confirmed it was a tragic accident with no fault placed on either rider. Despite immediate medical attention, Camden could not be saved.
Known for his fearless spirit and big heart, Camden loved motocross, mountain biking, and jet skiing. He also ran his own lawn care business. Born in 2011, he was cherished by his family and his entire community.
A funeral was held on June 10, and East Bend Motorsports has since started a GoFundMe to support the Trail family. Plans are also underway to honor Camden’s memory with a commemorative plaque at the track and the first annual “Cam” Memorial Shoot-Out, scheduled for June 6, 2026.
Though his time was short, Camden left a powerful impact. His energy, kindness, and love for adventure will never be forgotten.
