“1000-Lb. Sisters” Star Tammy Slaton Shows Off 440-Pound Weight Loss in New Swimsuit Photo

Tammy Slaton, best known from TLC’s 1000-Lb. Sisters, is proudly showing off her incredible transformation. The reality star recently posed in a dark blue swimsuit alongside her friend, psychic medium Haley Michelle, revealing the results of her 440-pound weight loss.

Tammy, who once weighed 725 pounds, has overcome a lifetime of struggles with her health. After undergoing bariatric surgery in July 2022, she now weighs around 285 pounds — and says the real victory is how much her life has changed.

“Just being able to walk without a walker, not needing a wheelchair or oxygen — I don’t even sleep with it anymore,” she said, reflecting on how far she’s come.

While many fans celebrated her progress, Tammy’s post also drew some unwanted attention, including odd and unsettling comments. But she isn’t letting that distract her. Her focus remains firmly on her health and continued progress.

Tammy hopes that by sharing her journey, she can inspire others facing similar battles. “By putting our stories out there, we’re helping people see they’re not alone. They can do this too,” she said.

Her doctor, Dr. Eric Smith of the Kentucky Bariatric Institute, says he’s proud not just of the weight loss, but of the new life Tammy is building. “What I’m most proud of are the goals she’s achieving — living healthier and being truly happy,” he said.
