Inmate Who Killed Newborn Found Dead in Prison
Liam Deane, sentenced to life for killing his two-day-old daughter Luna, was found dead in his prison cell just a month after his conviction. Authorities believe fellow inmate John Westland was responsible and have charged him in connection with Deane’s death.
Deane admitted to violently shaking and punching his newborn because she wouldn’t stop crying. Luna died from severe brain injuries days later.
