Close Call in Cabo: A Swimmer’s Brush with Danger
In 2011, a relaxing swim in the beautiful waters of Cabo San Lucas turned terrifying when a swimmer was suddenly pulled out to sea by a strong undertow. Though the surface looked calm, the powerful current below proved dangerous.
An undertow, a hidden flow moving opposite to surface waves, can catch even experienced swimmers off guard. Luckily, this swimmer stayed calm, swam parallel to the shore, and made it back safely.
