A die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan is riding the high of a lifetime after her boyfriend tackled the ultimate surprise — proposing to her during Super Bowl LIX … and beating Taylor Swift to the punch!
Kara Zuczek, a Delaware County, Pennsylvania native, tells TMZ her now-fiancé, Peter Grant, dropped to one knee mid-game Sunday night just moments after the couple joked about the swirling rumors that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce might propose to Taylor Swift if Kansas City won.
“One second, we’re talking about the game, Taylor’s engagement gossip, and whether Travis would actually pop the question,” Kara laughed. “The next thing I know, my guy’s on one knee in the middle of the living room!”
Though the Eagles’ victory over the Chiefs was sweet, Kara says nothing topped the shock of her own personal win: “Now every Super Bowl will be our anniversary — and hey, if Taylor’s still waiting on her ring, I guess I got mine first!”
Fans have speculated for months that Travis might propose to the “Cruel Summer” singer, especially if the Chiefs clinched a historic third-straight Lombardi Trophy. But Sunday delivered a double loss for Swifties: Not only did KC fall to Philly, but Tay-Tay also left the Super Bowl week ringless — coming just days after she was shut out at the Grammys, losing all six of her nominations.
