Ben Simmons asks nearly $17M for Brooklyn home as he heads to the Clippers — see inside

He’s making a major effort to sell his ultra-luxury Brooklyn home.

Former Brooklyn Nets point guard Ben Simmons is listing his Dumbo condo for nearly $17 million. At 28 years old, Simmons is headed to the Los Angeles Clippers after a contract buyout with the Nets last month and is looking to sell his five-bedroom residence.

The Australian native purchased and combined two units in 2023 for $14 million, according to the Journal. This expansive condo is situated in the Olympia Dumbo tower, an exclusive 33-story building adjacent to the Brooklyn Bridge.

Spanning 5,261 square feet on the 21st floor, the home is so spacious that, according to an insider, “he could probably play basketball in the apartment.”

Despite three challenging seasons with the Nets, Simmons seemed to have created a comfortable home in the exclusive Olympia Building.

Photos of the listing showcase elements of Simmons’ personal touch, including a converted bedroom gym, a striking acrylic display case filled with his collection of vinyl bear statues, and a designated shoe closet.

In a tour for Esquire Australia in fall 2023, Simmons showcased his All-Star rings and unique tiger-patterned Gucci wallpaper.

Listed by Monica Novo at Douglas Elliman, the condo features five full bathrooms and two half-baths, alongside an open chef’s kitchen, a wet bar, heated floors, and an entertainment wing complete with a home theater.

One of the standout features is the 322-square-foot wraparound terrace offering breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

Since its opening in early 2023, the Olympia has attracted celebrities and high-profile individuals, including tennis star Naomi Osaka and actor Michael B. Jordan. Notably, the Oscar-winning couple behind Disney’s “Let It Go” purchased an $11.34 million condo around the same time as Simmons.

Last year, the building set a record with a condo listed at $19.5 million on its 32nd floor.

It remains to be seen if Simmons will find a property in Los Angeles that matches the luxury and style of his Dumbo condo, but it’s hard to imagine anything can compare to those stunning Manhattan views.
