Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Focus on Private Time Amid Public Spotlight

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, pop icon Taylor Swift, have become one of the most watched couples in the country. Whether they’re out on a date or at a Chiefs game, they rarely go unnoticed.

The attention ramped up during the NFL season, with cameras constantly focused on them—especially during Chiefs games. After Super Bowl LIX, though, the couple faced criticism for what many called “overexposure” throughout the season.

In response, Kelce and Swift decided to take a step back from the spotlight. They jetted off for a private getaway and have continued to enjoy some low-key vacations during the NFL offseason. This comes after Kelce announced he’s postponing retirement and returning for his 13th season with the Chiefs in 2025.

Despite keeping a lower public profile—reportedly at the urging of those close to them—the two have been spending plenty of time together. According to People.com, their relationship has been a top priority during this break from the public eye.

“They’ve been traveling nonstop and really enjoying it,” a source told People. “They’re making the most of their time off together.”

The source added that they’ve also been spending time with friends and making the most of this quieter phase in their lives. “It’s a special time for them,” the source said. “[Swift and Kelce] are very serious and totally in sync. They share the same values. Right now, it’s all about enjoying private time away from the spotlight.”

There are even reports that the couple is planning to buy a home together in Kansas City so they can be close during the NFL season. Page Six also reported that Swift plans to attend as many of Kelce’s games as possible next season.

Meanwhile, Kelce is gearing up for a major business move. He’s opening a new restaurant in Kansas City called 1587 Prime, in partnership with teammate Patrick Mahomes. The restaurant is expected to open sometime this summer.
