Meet the Bonell Family: Life with 16 Kids and a Whole Lot of Love
In Toowoomba, Australia, Jeni and Ray Bonell are raising 16 children—and somehow, they make it all work. From juggling routines to managing a $600 weekly grocery bill (which includes 50 liters of milk and 45 tubs of yogurt), life in the Bonell household is a whirlwind of planning, patience, and plenty of love.
Their days are packed with school runs, sports, part-time jobs, and dinner prep for up to 20 people. Evenings feel like “an average family times eight,” Jeni jokes. To keep things running smoothly, the kids help out with chores, and even the 12-year-old can roast dinner for the whole crew.
Despite the chaos, faith plays a big role in their lives. The Bonells are active in their church, leaning on their beliefs through both the good and challenging days.
Now grandparents too, Jeni and Ray are watching their family grow even bigger—with each new addition bringing more joy to their beautifully busy life.
