Deadly Bus Crash on Highway 57 Leaves Several Injured, Including a Child

Tragedy struck early Wednesday morning along Highway 57 in northern Mexico, when a passenger bus traveling from Ciudad Acuña to Gómez Palacio, Durango, overturned near mile marker 68 in the Hermanas-Sabinas area.

At least one person was killed in the crash, and several others were injured. Emergency crews rushed to the scene and transported the wounded to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Among the most critically injured is a young boy named Jairo, who was taken to Clinic 7 of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Monclova. Doctors say his condition remains serious as they work to stabilize him.

At least five other passengers suffered injuries ranging from minor to severe and are currently under medical observation.

The cause of the rollover is still under investigation. Authorities are reviewing the crash site and speaking with witnesses to piece together what happened.

Families of those involved have gathered at hospitals, anxiously waiting for updates. Meanwhile, the bus company has yet to issue an official statement.
