A Time to Return to God
Lent is once again a gift—a season to renew our hearts and reflect on the powerful mystery of Jesus’ death and resurrection. This core of our faith reminds us that God’s love is real and life-changing, calling us into a relationship marked by trust, honesty, and transformation.
True joy comes from embracing the Good News of Christ. It shows us that life isn’t just ours to control—it’s a gift born from God’s love. When we forget that, we risk falling into despair, but God’s mercy is always there to bring us back.
Lent invites us to look again at the Cross. Jesus’ sacrifice is not a distant event—it’s alive in the world today, especially in the suffering of others. Through prayer, confession, and reflection, we can be renewed by His love. Prayer isn’t just an obligation; it’s our response to a God who never stops loving us.
This sacred time is a call to conversion—to leave behind empty distractions and listen to God’s voice more deeply. It’s a moment to recognize that, despite the presence of evil, God never gives up on us. He desires a sincere, ongoing dialogue with each of His children.
We also must remember that faith calls us to act. When we open our hearts, we’re moved to care for others: the poor, the vulnerable, the victims of violence and injustice. This Lent, we are invited to share, to serve, and to think not just as individuals, but as part of a greater effort to build a more just and compassionate world.
May this season awaken in us the courage to change, to forgive, and to love more deeply. And may Mary, Mother of Mercy, guide us to become light in a world that desperately needs hope.
