Even the smartest kids can fall victim to peer pressure—and for 11-year-old Tyler Broome, it nearly cost him everything.

Tyler was seriously injured after trying a dangerous viral stunt known as the “roundabout of death.” The challenge involves sitting on a playground roundabout while a motorcycle spins it at high speed, creating extreme G-forces similar to what fighter pilots experience.

Tyler passed out and was found with severe head and eye injuries. Doctors said his swollen face and burst blood vessels were unlike anything they’d ever seen—his mother described him as nearly unrecognizable.

It all started when older teens dared him to try the stunt at a local park. After the incident, they reportedly fled the scene, leaving Tyler behind.

“This was bullying,” his mom, Dawn, said. “Tyler didn’t even know the boy who pressured him.”

Doctors are now studying his injuries for a medical report, and Tyler is recovering with blurry vision and memory loss from the trauma.

This heartbreaking story is a sobering reminder for parents: stay involved, talk with your kids about peer pressure, and keep an eye out for dangerous trends.
