Lightning Strikes Four Men Taking Shelter Under Tree in Park—All Collapse Instantly
What started as a normal rainy afternoon in a park in Gurgaon, India, turned into a frightening scene when lightning struck four men standing under a tree.
Caught in a sudden downpour, the group had gathered under a large tree for cover—trying to stay dry. Then, in a split second, a powerful bolt of lightning lit up the sky, followed by an earsplitting crack. All four men were thrown to the ground.
“I heard this massive boom, and when I turned around, they were just lying there,” said Rakesh, a nearby jogger who saw it happen. “It felt like the sky exploded.”
Panic quickly spread as bystanders rushed to help. Emergency services were called, and paramedics arrived within minutes. The men were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Thankfully, doctors say all four are in stable condition and are expected to recover fully.
This scary incident is a serious reminder: if you hear thunder, head indoors. Trees might seem like a safe shelter—but during a storm, they can become deadly.
