Teen Mom Loses Sight After Mistaking Facial Infection for a Simple Pimple
A 17-year-old girl from the Philippines, Mary Ann Regacho, suddenly lost her vision just hours after squeezing what she thought was a harmless pimple on her face.
Mary, who gave birth at 16, originally assumed the bump on the bridge of her nose was just a hormonal breakout. But the swelling quickly worsened—spreading across her face and eventually affecting her eyesight.

Mary and her husband, Albert Sales, have struggled to afford medical treatment. Albert works a low-paying, unstable farming job, and the couple barely makes enough to feed themselves and their baby.
