The bodies of three men have been recovered following a deadly mudslide near Lillooet, British Columbia, with one person still missing, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
One body was found on Wednesday, and two more were recovered on Thursday, B.C. Chief Coroner Lisa Lapointe said in a statement released Saturday.
Search efforts continued Friday for a fourth man who remains unaccounted for, but so far, he has not been found.
Earlier in the week, on Monday, the body of a woman was also recovered from the same mudslide—marking the first confirmed death linked to the devastating flooding and landslides in southern British Columbia. The disaster followed a weekend of record-breaking rainfall that overwhelmed the region.
