Teen Rally Driver and Co-Driver Die in Tragic Crash
Fifteen-year-old rally prodigy Brooklyn Horan and his co-driver, Tyson, lost their lives after their car slid off a gravel road into a flooded river during a rally event in New Zealand. Both were declared dead at the scene.
Brooklyn, known as a rising star in junior motorsport, had a competition license through MotorSport New Zealand. An investigation is underway, but early reports say road conditions weren’t to blame.
Tributes from the racing community have poured in, with champion Hayden Paddon calling the loss heartbreaking. Brooklyn is survived by his pregnant wife, Lucy. A fundraiser has been started to support her and their baby.
