I Bought Two Plane Tickets, but a Mom Tried to Take One—Here’s What Happened
I fly a lot, and there’s one issue I constantly run into: I’m a bigger guy, and standard airplane seats just don’t work for me. I end up spilling into the seat next to mine, and that’s not fair to anyone.
So, to keep things comfortable and respectful, I always book two seats—usually a window and the one beside it. That way, I don’t bother anyone and can actually enjoy the flight.
On one particular trip, I boarded, sat down, buckled up, and settled in—two seats to myself, just like I planned. That’s when a woman came down the aisle with her young child. Without saying a word, she plopped the kid right into the empty seat next to me.
I politely let her know, “Hey, just so you’re aware, I paid for both of these seats. I need the space.”
She looked stunned, then scoffed and said, “Seriously? You won’t give up a seat for a child?”
Before I could respond, a couple of nearby passengers chimed in: “But it’s a child!”
Suddenly, I was getting dirty looks from strangers, like I was the bad guy.
But I stayed calm, knowing I was completely within my rights. I paid for both seats.
Then I did something that stopped the drama cold. (Story continues in the first comment ⬇️)
