A heartbreaking tragedy has struck the surfing and entertainment worlds: a 49-year-old actor died in a shark attack while free-diving near Honolulu, Hawaii.
Lifeguards quickly pulled him from the water, but despite paramedics’ efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Known for his fearless spirit and deep love of the ocean, he was also a respected surfer and ocean advocate.
His wife, Emilia Perry, said, “He died doing what he loved. He lived without fear.” Friends, fans, and fellow activists have flooded social media with tributes, honoring his kindness, talent, and dedication to marine conservation.
Though video of the incident is circulating, officials urge the public to respect the family’s privacy.
He was more than an actor—he was a husband, father, surfer, and a light to many. His legacy will live on, far beyond the sea.
