Los Angeles Rock Fan Claims to Have Dave Grohl’s Secret Love Child
A Los Angeles-based rock ‘n’ roll fan has confirmed to the Post that she is the mother of Dave Grohl’s secret love child.
Jennifer Young, 38, revealed that the Foo Fighters frontman, 56, fathered her baby girl. Records confirm that the child, born on August 1, 2024, carries his last name.
Young, a Florida native and avid music fan covered in tattoos, resides in a quiet LA neighborhood with her mother. She is frequently seen taking her nearly 7-month-old daughter for strolls around the area.
For privacy reasons, Young declined to share the baby’s name, citing concerns over “some really angry fans.”
“Protecting her identity is really important,” she explained.
Grohl’s representative did not respond to the Post’s request for comment.
The musician—who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003—publicly disclosed in September 2024 that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage, just one month after the baby’s birth.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”
While Grohl committed to being involved in his daughter’s life, the extent of his contact with Young remains unclear.
Though they have never been publicly spotted together, both were in New York City over Valentine’s Day weekend. Grohl attended the “Saturday Night Live” anniversary concert, but it’s unknown if he and Young met during the trip.
A former classmate described Young as “quiet” and “very pleasant” but was surprised by her connection to Grohl.
“I feel like she was more into Gwen Stefani than the Foo Fighters,” they remarked.
Despite this, Young has shown a deep love for music, sporting tattoos featuring Paul McCartney lyrics and the Metallica logo. Her baby has also been seen wearing a cranial helmet decorated with stickers of Metallica, Led Zeppelin, and Elvis Presley.
Young has no public social media presence, leaving little insight into her personal or professional life.
In addition to his newborn, Grohl shares three daughters—Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10—with Blum.
The former Nirvana drummer and Blum, 48, tied the knot at their Los Angeles home on August 2, 2003. This marks Grohl’s second marriage and Blum’s first.
Grohl’s affair has reportedly been difficult for Blum, who removed her wedding ring before the news broke and has continued to keep it off.
“Jordyn is focused on her own life and her girls,” a source told People at the time. “She doesn’t trust Dave. She’s not wearing her wedding ring.”
Though Grohl initially hired a divorce attorney, reports suggest he dropped legal proceedings in November in an attempt to repair his marriage.
He has acknowledged his mistakes, expressing his love for his family and his desire to keep them together.
Ahead of his trip to New York, Grohl and Blum were seen together for the first time in nearly six months. On February 11, Blum was spotted picking up Grohl from a house in Los Angeles.
Carrying a duffle bag, Grohl got into Blum’s car, and the two appeared deep in conversation as they drove off. Notably, both wore their wedding bands on their middle fingers rather than their ring fingers.
