Patrick Mahomes and wife Brittany are celebrating a special milestone — their daughter Golden Raye just turned one month old! And the timing couldn’t be more heartwarming, as the family also celebrated big sister Sterling’s fourth birthday on Thursday.
To mark the occasion, Brittany shared a touching post on Instagram featuring a series of photos of Sterling through the years. Alongside the nostalgic snaps, she praised Sterling for being “the best big sister” to newborn Golden and their son Bronze, who’s now two.
In one especially sweet photo, Sterling is seen feeding baby Golden a bottle while cradling her with help from their parents. Golden looks cozy in a light pink onesie and a white knit hat topped with a big bow.
On her Instagram Stories the next day, Brittany posted a video of Sterling gently pushing her baby sister in a stroller, draped in a soft pink gauze blanket. “The best big sister,” she wrote with a smiling face emoji with teary eyes.
Golden Raye was born on January 12, just weeks before Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl. Although the Chiefs fell short with a 40-22 loss, missing out on a historic three-peat, the Mahomes family had already scored a big win at home.
Despite giving birth so recently, Brittany was on hand to cheer Patrick on at several postseason games, including their divisional round matchup against the Houston Texans.
The couple introduced baby Golden to the world with a black-and-white Instagram photo showing them holding her tiny feet, with a wooden sign in the background that read “Golden Raye.”
Now that they’ve added another little one to their growing family, the Mahomes crew couldn’t be more excited.
In a March interview with SheKnows, Brittany opened up about how much she loves being a mom. “Oh my goodness, I love being a mom,” she said. “I think I’ve been called to be a mom ever since I was little.”
She talked about the joy she finds in watching her kids grow, learn, and experience new things. “Seeing them happy, excited, and in good spirits when we try something new with them — that’s what I love the most,” said the former soccer star.
Brittany also shared a bit about Sterling’s outgoing personality, saying the four-year-old loves to be social. “Any activity with a playground is definitely her favorite. Wherever we go, she’s like, ‘I want to go to the park! I want to meet my friends!’”
Brittany and Patrick, who tied the knot in March 2022, have been together since their high school days in Texas. With three little ones now, their journey as a family just keeps getting sweeter.
