When trans man Bennett Kaspar-Williams gave birth in 2020, it was both joyful and difficult. Though he identifies as male, hospital staff kept calling him “mother,” adding emotional stress to an already intense experience.
Bennett began his transition in 2014 but chose to keep his ability to carry a child. Now, he’s speaking out for more inclusive healthcare, reminding others that giving birth isn’t limited to women—and parenthood isn’t defined by gender.
