Lyn May, the famed Chinese-Mexican showgirl known as “The Goddess of Love,” starred in nearly 100 films and became a household name in Mexico.
Born in 1952 in Acapulco, she rose from poverty, survived an abusive marriage, and later found love with businessman Antonio Chi Su—whose death in 2008 left her heartbroken. In grief, she admitted to sleeping beside his exhumed body.
A botched cosmetic procedure in the ’90s changed her appearance, but not her spirit. She stayed in the spotlight with bold claims, including a rumored presidential affair and a fake pregnancy at 68.
Despite the drama, Lyn May remains a symbol of resilience and reinvention.
