In the crowded streets of Mettupalayam, India, a stray dog with a massive tumor on his head quietly suffered — until help arrived.

The gentle dog, later named Biggie, had been seen by locals for months, his head weighed down by the 2-kilogram mass. No one knew what to do, until the Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) stepped in.

Despite his pain, Biggie welcomed his rescuers with love. Scans revealed a miracle: the tumor hadn’t reached his skull. A complex surgery followed — and it worked. Two more surgeries and weeks of care were needed, but Biggie stayed sweet and strong through it all.

Now living at the WVS center in Ooty, Biggie is finally free of pain. He lifts his head high, full of life and gratitude — a living reminder that love and compassion can truly heal.
