Sunny Hostin Says Trump’s Return to the White House Has Left Her “Deeply Disturbed”
Sunny Hostin didn’t hold back her feelings following the results of the presidential election. Speaking on The View, she shared that Donald Trump’s return to the White House has left her “profoundly disturbed.”
Hostin and her co-hosts on The View have been vocal supporters of Trump’s opponent, Kamala Harris, throughout the election. During the campaign, they frequently criticized Trump, even calling him “psychotic” and discussing what they described as his “levels of depravity” with guests on the show.
“In 2016, we didn’t know what to expect from a Trump administration,” Hostin said during a recent episode. “But now we do. And now we’re facing a presidency with nearly unchecked power.”
Following the election results, Hostin made good on a promise to delete her account on X (formerly Twitter). She explained that she no longer wanted to be associated with anything connected to Elon Musk—who, in a surprising twist, has officially joined the U.S. government as the head of the newly created Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a role classified as a “special government employee.”
“I won’t buy a Tesla, and I won’t invest in Tesla stock,” Hostin stated. “I used to love Twitter, but Elon Musk ruined it.”
She went on to criticize Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to X, calling it “stupid” and saying, “Twitter was already a mess before Musk, and then he made it worse. Nobody calls it X!”
Recently, several media reports claimed that Hostin called Musk a “b*****d” live on The View and that fellow co-host Joy Behar apologized to Musk, stating that Hostin’s comments didn’t reflect the views of the show.
However, those claims appear to be false. No credible news outlets reported the incident, and no video evidence has surfaced to support the story.
