Teenager dies after crashing into school bus; then police find what she was holding.

Panola County is grieving the loss of 18-year-old Katelyn Ray, who died in a crash Wednesday morning after her car hit the back of a school bus. She was on her way to pick up her sister and had just shared a sweet goodbye with her mom.

When she didn’t arrive, her family grew concerned, and soon after, the highway patrol delivered the heartbreaking news. Katelyn had only recently gotten her driver’s license and was studying for her GED. Her death has left her family and community heartbroken. The crash remains under investigation.
