After two long years apart, Todd and Julie Chrisley are finally back together — and their family couldn’t be happier.
The Chrisley Knows Best stars, who turned themselves in to federal prison in early 2023 after being convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud, reunited face-to-face on May 29. Their daughter Savannah Chrisley shared the moment with fans on Instagram, posting a quiet but powerful photo of her parents’ legs as they sat together once again.
“Reunited and it feels so good!” she captioned the image, capturing the emotional milestone.
Just two days earlier, the couple received a stunning development in their ongoing legal saga: a full presidential pardon from Donald Trump. “Your parents are going to be free and clean,” Trump told the Chrisley children in a video message. “Give them my regards and wish them good luck.”
The next day, Todd and Julie walked out of their separate federal prisons — Todd in Florida and Julie in Kentucky — their sentences wiped away with a stroke of a pen. Savannah, who’s been a fierce advocate for her parents since the beginning, waited outside Todd’s facility through the night, wearing pink from head to toe and a bold “Make America Great Again” hat, ready to take her dad home.
Her younger brother Grayson, 19, made the trip to Kentucky to bring their mom back.
The reunion marked the end of a turbulent chapter for the Chrisley family. Todd and Julie were first indicted in 2019 and later convicted in 2022, receiving a combined 19-year sentence that was slightly reduced in 2023. They’ve fought the charges ever since, filing appeals and maintaining their innocence. Julie was initially granted an appeal due to lack of evidence, but a judge later upheld her sentence.
Savannah admitted the news of the pardon came as a complete surprise to her parents.
“They didn’t believe it. It just came out of nowhere,” she said. “Over the past 24 hours, I’ve gotten so much love — and so much hate. People are saying, ‘What did she do to get this pardon?’ The truth is, I didn’t have to do anything but stand firm in my beliefs, fight for my parents, and fight for what was right.”
Later, Savannah posted a lighthearted clip of her dad flexing his bicep in the car. “What are you trying to get me to do?” she joked as she avoided filming his face.
“Feel that muscle,” Todd replied with a smile in his voice.
Savannah laughed, touching his arm: “Oh yeah, feel the muscle! I’m not gonna lie, it’s hard.”
Todd quipped back: “Todd is jacked.”
While their future remains uncertain, for now, the Chrisleys are focused on one thing: being together again. And for their family, that’s more than enough.
