Two Best Friends Lost in Texas Floods
Two young best friends from Dallas, Lila Bonner (9) and Eloise Peck (8), tragically died after flash floods swept through Camp Mystic in Kerr County on July 4, 2025. The girls were reported missing during the storm and were confirmed dead days later—Lila on July 5 and Eloise on July 6.
Eloise’s mother remembered her as a sweet, animal-loving child. A third Dallas girl, Hadley Hanna, was still missing as of July 6. Rescue teams reported that 11 campers and a counselor were still unaccounted for.
Communities across Texas mourned the loss, sharing prayers and tributes. So far, the floods have claimed over 50 lives, and that number may grow as search efforts continue.
